New friends?

I have many friends now, but nobody knows my secret. I want to tell my best friend Alya, but I promised grandmother and grandfather. Alya and I have known each other since the first day of school, she was nice and welcoming to me. She is the only one that knows what happened to my parents that night. We don’t have secrets for each other, except I’m a princess, of the biggest and richest country in the world and I’m engaged with the prince she’s in love with.

I have been engaged since I remember. He is the prince of Southside, the second biggest country in the world and haven’t seen him since before my parents died, but I know he and his family is going to be to my parent’s funeral like a million others, including Henry's fiancée, princess of Northside, nice, understanding and a little rebellious.

I really want to tell Alya, because best friends don’t keep secrets from each other, so I did what I had to… I asked my Aunt.

“Auntie, before we go home, can I tell Alya my secret?” I asked. “If it really means that much to you, then yes,” she said. I was so happy. Only a couple of weeks.

I walked to school without Henry, because he was sick. When I saw her, screamed and ran over to her “Mirabella, is that you” I said. She turned around and smiled. “No way, that the Princess of Younghead is in my country” She whispered and hugged me. “I missed you, and where are you doing here,” I asked. I was so happy to see her. I could not believe that. “I was on my way to say hi to Camille” She smiled. “What… How long have you seen her” I asked confused. Camille is one of my best friend from Younghead and she is my lady-in-waiting, but what is she doing here “Since your parents’ death, she got an order from the king and queen to be here and watch over you.” She said. I got angry inside, how could they, after everything that has happened “Have you seen Henry since we got here.” I asked “No I haven’t, would you tell him, that I’m in town for a couple of days, thanks, see you soon,” She said and walked away. I hope that no one saw me, especially Alya. I'm so going to call grandma now.

Henry is the most popular boy in our year, all the girls, except me and Alya, has a crush on him, even some of the girls from the higher classes, but what they don’t know is that he is taken and engaged.

I walked into class, and it was so boring, and it made me miss mom because her lessons were so funny and learning, so I began to cry. “Amelia what is wrong,” Alya asked me while trying to comfort me. “Nothing…” I said crying. I left the class and walked into the principal’s office. I wanted to go home, and just cry in my pillow and never come out of my room. My aunt told me to go home by myself.

On my way home I thought of mom and dad. I heard mom scream and cry before she died, it made me so sad, and I just thought of the happy memories instead. I didn’t look, and a car hit me. I remember it was right outside the school and a lot of children looked at me. The driver called after an ambulance. The school principal called my aunt and told her to come here right now. She came right away alone. Then I don't remember anything
