Gwen awoke to the smells of fresh bread as Annalise waltzed through the door, followed by Alannah behind her, tugging at her skirts. Alannah noticed Gwen’s opened eyes and shyly waved at her. Gwen moved to wave back but realized her arm was still tightly wrapped around Hayden, whose hand was still resting lightly on her forearm. Gwen tried to tug it away a little, but Hayden’s eyes opened with a start and he shot straight up to sitting. Gwen giggled, watching his ears turn pink as he tried to straighten out his pajamas. Alannah wiggled her eyebrows at him and he stuck his tongue out at her, making her squeal and wake up Harry. “Morning.” The noble boy grinned, his eyes darting between Gwen and Hayden and their refusal to look at one another.
