Chapter 14

210 Words
It's cloudy outside. Little droplets of rain hit my face. I don't bother to wipe them away. Tears are already soaking my face. "I wish I had one more chance to say all the things I needed to say. But if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I'm a stronger person now. And it's because of you. I love you." "Ma'am. It's time." The priest looks at me and places his hand on my shoulder. I turn to look at him nodding slightly. I walk up and put the roses down on the casket. Placing my hand on it. I'm not ready to say good bye. Not yet. But I know it's time. I back away slowly turning around. I start walking towards the 2 cars that are left at the graveyard. I walk up to the one in the back and open the door. Slowly getting in and closing the door behind me. "Are you ready?" A raspy, deep voice asks me. "Yes. I'm ready detective." ^ For my first experience of writing I hope you liked book 1. I know it is short book, but I hope you all follow me and join me in the new adventures of book 2.^
