Chapter 7

Julia POV

As I think I expressed myself too much, Mrs. Hernandez and Mr. Carter are quiet, too quiet for too long. It was Mrs. Hernandez that spoke first.

“ that is all great and valuable information, the first real candidate with experience and knowledge. Tell me, why move from where you were?”

“ It was a toxic environment that I needed to get out of” I answered honestly. I was given an opportunity at Northern County Hospital, which was shut down due to the cut in funding.

Mrs. Hernandez was the first to speak. Well Id be happy to tell you that we value team work and everyone’s expertise is tight situations. It is a little different here, where we are only twenty minutes to the next tertiary center, but we work our asses off just the same.

“Thank you so much for your time, I’m sure you will hear from us shortly”, Mr. Carter said.

Just like that I got up, shook their hands, stared into his eyes one last time, then left. Looking at my watch, it was a little past one. wow, that interview didn’t seem that long.

Looking up the address to my last interview, I get an email from them stating it was cancelled and they had hired an internal candidate. I guess that it makes it easy, if presented both opportunities, which one I would choose.
