Chapter 5“How was the picnic?” Captain Ben Harding asked, waving Jo Everett into his usual seat on the opposite side of the fireplace in Ben’s comfortable Piccadilly sitting room. “Thank you, Cribbins,” Jo said, accepting a glass of wine from Ben’s loyal manservant and taking a sip. “Ah, that’s better. It was rather good fun. It didn’t rain, the sandwiches weren’t soggy, and the selection of cakes was jolly good.
