Arthur’s POV

one moment everything was fine and the next aspen just broke down and all the emotions she's been pushing aside hit her full wak in the face. She cried her eyes out and my heart melted that she loved me this much, that anyone would love me this much.

But all that was ruined in a split second when she fell off my knee screaming in pain clutching her chest. I saw a whirl of people coming to our sides in fear of what just happened. Lilly aspens Gran took her head in her hands and slowly the screaming stopped and her body relaxed unlike Lilly who was stiff as a board looking at her with a worried expression on her face.

“Luca get her to bed she needs rest”

Luca didn’t argue and lifted our bride, kissing her cheek. She lay past out in peace in his arms. When she was gone I looked to lilly

“What the hell was that?”

“Aspen just had a heart attack. The thought of losing you broke her heart literally and she took a heart attack, iv cured her but we need to be careful going forward, one of us need to be present if your about to die incase it happens again”

Guilt hit me like a ton of bricks? I force myself out of the seat and I walk back to our room dizzy from being so weak and the news of what just happened my mate. I turn my chair so I can watch her as tears begin to fall.

By the time luca came back I had finished crying but it didn’t help the devastation I felt for making her suffer like this. Luca sat at my feet the way he always did.

How had I not seen the attraction before now? How had I not seen that I was in love with him from the start, that if I would have just dropped my walls I could have been happy all along.

“We do nothing Arthur, we can’t. She loves you and sometimes people die, it may break her but I promise you I’ll be right there by her side holding her together. That’s one promise I can definitely keep”

I sigh rubbing my hands down my face, I know if it was the other way around, heart attack or not I’d never leave her, just like she would never leave me.

“You good?”

Luca asks me

“I’m good, now come here”

Aspens POV

I smile playing with his hair

After I helped Arthur shower and get into bed I texted Fay to send me her list of homes. Hopefully we could get away, just for a few days before Arthur gets any worse. I push the thought out as the pain starts to spread in my chest. I can’t think about it anymore. I literally had a heart attack.

I don't want to die, I discovered that the moment I took the pain. All I could think about was what would come of Luca if I died too. I couldn’t do that to him, not ever.

I woke up the next morning with a new mission, today I was going to organise a honeymoon even if it means I rent an airbnb or go glamping. I want some alone time and I was more than ready to get it.

I let the boys sleep in and I went for breakfast with my family, most we’re staying in the packhouse but Megan, Brian and Lola and James stayed at our house along with mum and dad and the girls.

I fill my plate and sit with everyone, Megan reaches out and grabs my hand.

“How did you do it?”

I frown

“Tame them 2 shits, they are even calmer at home”

I smile

“Honestly it was mostly Arthur, he kind of put his food down but in a way that made them feel equal instead of the little turds that they can be, and the race track as well. We gave them a car and now they spend their time trying to make it faster and better, learning how to drive better and all that stuff. Plus we honestly love them, they are like 2 little sisters who have a way of charming Arthur and Luca like nothing i've ever seen before”

Megan and Lola snort and roll their eyes

“Yes they learned how to do that when they were 6, it doesn’t usually work on girls but the men crumble to there will, heaven help there mates”

“Well whatever we like having them around”

I check my phone and smile when I realise Fay had sent me a list of her properties that were local. I chose one that sounds amazing and she sends me the address and tells me the cleaner will be ready for us anytime today.

I finish breakfast and head back to the room and pack a bag, I pull clothes into my bag for the boys then I head back into the room. I start to nudge them and they groan

“Come on we have plans today and you both need to move your asses”

Suddenly luca turns and grabs me and throws me into the middle of the bed between him and Arthur. He kisses me then pulls me towards his chest.

“Sleep first”

“Nope up you get! Both of you, we are going on our honeymoon you can sleep in the car”

Arthur opens his eyes and he pulls me closer to him and kisses me then pulls back and grins

“You already planned it? That was fast”

“I don’t have time to waist, I want to be alone with you both”

He grins and kisses me then tries to sit up, I get up and help him and hand him his clothes, he smirks and starts to get dressed as I push on Luca, he won’t budge so I push him off the bed making Arthur snort and giggle.

“What the f**k aspen! Are you trying to give me a heart attack!”

I see Arthur flinch at his words. I grab his hand and squeeze it

“Don’t be such a baby, get dressed NOW before I give the girls free rain to do what they want with you”

“You wouldn't dare!”

He opens one eye and looks up at me from the floor

“Oh I would, I still haven’t gotten back at you for waking me up with an air horn now move”

I grab a glass of water from the night stand and hold it over his face, his eyes are closed as he tries to go back to sleep on the floor so I pour some over his face.

“Aspen I’m going to f*****g kill you”

“You could try but you will fail now wake the f**k up”

“No!”

He rolls onto his stomach and I growl

“Fine!”

“Fine!”

He retorts, I finish helping Arthur get dressed then bring him to the kitchen where the girls are eating breakfast, we both smile at each other then at them both.

“You 2 want to torture luca for us? He’s asleep on the floor and we need to go, fancy having a go at wakening him for us”

I say and both of their heads snap up to look at us, then they look at each other mischievously and giggle.

“Oh how i've waited for this moment”

They disappear into their own room then disappear down the hall, I fill Arthur’s plate and pour us both coffee, we eat in comfortable silence waiting for the screams that no doubt would come. 10 minutes later mum and dad come into the kitchen from the deck followed by the girls parents, just as they take a seat I hear a loud growl and screams coming from the room!

The girls come up the hall screaming covering their eyes

“You could have told us he was naked! I swear someone needs to burn my irises out”

Ailm shouts at me and Arthur as isla shakes her head and shivers

“Damn girl you take 2 of them at the same time”

Arthur snorts his coffee out his nose and starts to cough as dad throws a croissant at Islas head

“Please refrain from ever saying that in my presence again you dirty dog!”

Isla and Ailm starts to laugh then they take their seats next to us looking proud of themselves

“Where is he?”

I ask them they grin at me

“Oh he needs a minute”

They snort and laugh between themselves but as the room door opens they freeze and take off running hiding behind their fathers. They looked panicked

“What did you both do”

They snort and giggle looking out from under their fathers arms.

“Where the f**k are they! Your both dead I’m taking me car back and I’m going to sell your bikes for scrap”

Arthur laughs as he stomps up the hall but when he comes into view we all burst out laughing, half his face is drawn on with permanent marker saying ‘I’m not gay but I suck d**k’ Arthur nearly chokes he laughs so hard, then I realise his eyebrow is shaved of and as he turns there is bald patches in the back of his head spelling the work d**k in it.

“I told you to wake him not torture him”

They snigger behind the chair and he growls at them

“Oh they woke me alright”

He turns around and pulls his shirt over his head, all over his back lay wax strips still stuck to him, he walks forward and they are stuck all over the back of his legs too but some parts of him were already stripped of hair.

Arthur slaps the counter. He's so busy pissing himself laughing he holds his hand up to the girls and they both fist pump him, dad and mum are laughing into each other’s shoulders. Lola and Megan are howling and Brian and James look amused but also afraid.

“I’m going to kill you both, it might not be today or tomorrow but I swear I will get you back for this you little turds now someone please pull this s**t off my back”

They both grinned and walked towards him but he turned at the last minute and threw them over his shoulders, they screamed and started to tear the wax strips off his back. He squeals and jumps around as he runs out with them and throws them both in the lake they scream bloody murder as Luca turns with a grin on his face and walks back in to me and Arthur.

We spend the next few minutes pulling wax strips of a screaming luca, everyone joins in enjoying his suffering. Arthur has the widest grin on his face, probably the biggest smile I've ever seen him wear.

When we are done luca sits at the kitchen island and yawns rubbing the back of his head and he freezes, his fingers running over his bald spots making Arthur laugh again.

“Those little bitches! What else did they do to me!”

“Well did you see your face?”

I ask him, he sits up then turns and runs to the bathroom.

“You f*****g little shits!”

He storms back up the hall and tries to find him but they disappeared after they had gotten showered and changed. He goes to the sink and starts to scrub his face of the marker that barely budges.

“You are so lucky we are going away today or I swear I’d get you back to”

He points at me, I smirk and roll my eyes at him

“I did warn you, granted I had no idea what they had planned but still I warned you”

Luca spends the next while scrubbing his face, by the time he’s done you can hardly see the marker anymore. After that we said goodbye to the family and I climbed into my car, I had missed it so much. The thrill of just driving a supercar was amazing.

We spend the 2hour drive just singing and playing games, we stop a few times to let Arthur have a break and a joint then we get back on the road.

None of us know what to expect, this place could be huge or it could be tiny. But I do know it’s in the Lake District. We drive in around the dirt roads coming to the very end and driving up a driveway to a huge log cabin overlooking the water.

“Wow this is amazing”

“It really is”

Luca agrees with Arthur. I climb out as a small woman around 40 years old comes out.

“Hello I’m Mary, you must be aspen”

I smile and shake her hand

“Yes, I’m aspen that’s Arthur and that is luca”

Luca helps a very white Arthur from the car, he stumbles a little so I go to his other side.

“You ok?”

“Yes just need to sit down and smoke”

Arthur answers me, we walk him towards the steps and help him up them slowly, the woman Mary pulls a chair towards us and we sit him in it.

“Are you ok dear? Can I get you something to drink or eat?”

I smile. She seems so kind, Arthur pats her hand and nods at her.

“You wouldn’t happen to have any coffee brewed would you?”

“Of Course I’ll bring it right out”

I smile and dig into the bag and pull out a joint and stick it in his mouth, lighting it. I sit at his feet and heat my skin slightly. Soon he starts to relax as the drug kicks in and starts to work. Mary returns with a little tray and hands him a coffee.

“If you would like I could make you some cookies or brownies with that stuff, I did it for my brother when he was dying”

“I prefer to smoke it but thank you, that's very kind. I’m sorry about your brother”
