The door to the AA room opened noisily making us jump. Ann reached for her g*n and had it pointed at the door. Maria had her hand over hers but she didn’t lift it from the table, she stayed still watching the door. The noise scared me too I expected to see deformed people run into the room. I just sat there scared, my hands over my belly.
Billy and Joe walked into the room. When they saw us alert and armed they stiffened. They sped around the room checking everywhere. Joe left the room probably to search the house for intruders.
“What’s wrong with you? You just don’t walk into a room like that unless you want to get shot!” Ann placed the g*n back on the table and dropped into the seat her hand over her chest.
Maria let go of a breath and leaned against the seat leaving her g*n where it
