Before I could get to where Jaxx stood, Chris halted me.

I left the restaurant immediately after that because to be honest, I also wasn’t ready to talk to him. I decided on going grocery shopping since there wasn’t much food at the apartment anymore.
I really missed Abby. I took my phone from my pocket to dial Carl’s number, I just wanted to know how she was. He answered on the first ring;
“Hey there!” he exclaimed and I smiled “You sound happy. Who’s the girl” I teased.
He laughed “There is no girl, can’t I be happy?”
