☆ Cruel Statement ☆

She was jolted awake by someone aggressively shaking her, causing her to quickly open and then close her eyes, the sunlight blinding her. When she finally opened her eyes again, she was shocked to see a crowd of people surrounding her, their presence overwhelming her.

Attempting to stand up, she was immediately hindered by the weight on her lap. Looking down, she noticed him peacefully sleeping, clutching her waist and hiding his face against her abdomen. A sinking feeling crept over her as she glanced back up and saw the judgmental gazes of the onlookers fixated on her and him.

"Wake him up, woman!" a lady shouted, her eyes filled with disgust. It was clear that everyone had misinterpreted the situation, and she desperately tried to explain herself to the woman. However, she was met with a dismissive gesture and the woman's words, "Wake that man up! He is sleeping without any clothes in God's house. How revolting, the both of you." The woman's disgust was apparent in her eyes.

Hearing the lady, she widened her eyes and anxiously said, "Oh no, all of you are misunderstanding the situation! We didn't do anything wrong." She desperately tried to make them understand, but the lady responded with a disgusted look.

He woke up from his sleep, feeling bothered by the noise around him, and he anxiously opened his eyes. Realizing he was tightly hugging something, he abruptly straightened his body and realized he had been holding her in his arms all night.

As he looked around, he noticed more people surrounding them, all staring at her and him with eyes full of disgust. He frowned upon seeing everyone looking at her with such repulsion and turned his attention towards her. His eyes widened as he saw her condition - she was wearing his shirt, her eyes filled with tears, while he himself had no shirt on.

Now he understood what was happening there and why all the people around them were looking at them with accusing and disgusted eyes. He opened his mouth to talk, but the lady standing in front of them spoke,"

" How shameless you girl, God will punish you for what you have done in this place. I couldn't believe how bold this girl is to do something sinful in the worship place itself," the lady spoke with utmost hate towards her.

" This girl is so shameless."

" I am even ashamed to see this girl's face."

" I couldn't believe she came to this place to do something cheap while there are other places for this kind of act."

" This type of girl will do anything for money, they are too cheap."

He frowned as everyone accused her but didn't say a word to him. He turned towards her and found her crying, closing her eyes and keeping her head low, tightly clutching his shirt to her chest.

She tightly shut her eyes in distress as she heard them accusing her and speaking terribly about her character. She couldn't bear the thought of everyone turning against her character like this. Unable to bear the hurtful words, she desperately prayed to God, hoping for this dreadful situation to over.

In a moment that seemed like an answer to her prayers, he suddenly yelled at them, demanding that they stop saying such awful things about her. Rising to his feet, he reached out and helped her stand up, grasping her wrist tightly in his hand. With a firmness in his voice, he declared, "We have done nothing wrong here!"

But to their dismay, their words fell on deaf ears. "Do you really think we would believe your words?" one woman sneered, pointing an accusing finger at him. "Even a child can see through your lies, especially given your current state", a lady scornfully remarked.

It is deeply concerning to witness such vile and disrespectful behavior from them all. He tightly grips her wrist and comments on the sinful nature of that lady's eyes, insinuating that she is incapable of distinguishing between right and wrong.

As he attempts to leave, he immediately hears her hiss of pain, realizing that she is clutching his shoulder with her other hand. The sight of her face twisting in pain and her silent tears only intensify the hurtful and accusatory words that are being hurled at her. But the breaking point occurs when she hears the cruel statement questioning why she cannot walk properly, insinuating that her ability to do so is somehow tied to her engaging in s****l activity with him.

" If she didn't spread her legs for you, then why was she having difficulty walking? We're gonna hand over this cheap woman who's involved in s****l activities at the temple to the police," that lady said heartlessly and she froze upon hearing those words."
