Fi had told Reid to bring Granny back here. There were a lot of food leftovers, and it would mean there was a quieter space for us to actually get to know each other.
I changed into simple jeans and t-shirts. I bathed the kids and put them in pajamas before the doorbell finally went.
My heart was in my throat and my stomach was in my feet. I swear I was sweating as Fi went to open the front door while I finished with the kids.
“So Reid’s Granny is coming to dinner tonight. That’s them now. Remember your manners and I really don’t mind if you want to go to your rooms early after you’ve eaten. Just use your manners OK.”
They both agreed half-heartily since they were now intrigued and wanted to go and meet Reid's Granny.
