We scoped out the location. It was quiet, but my gut was telling me the two cars I saw driving in the opposite direction two blocks away had just left here.
I’d taken note of the number plates, probably fakes or stolen, and the details of the cars anyway. The area was too dark to get a good look at the driver or passengers. I couldn’t only make out two in the first car and 3 in the second.
There were no lights we could see from the front or from two buildings either side.
We continued on foot around to the laneway entrance. Clear.
I walked down one side and Tea and Dice were on the other as we made out way down watching everything and listening out for any noises.
There was only the distant thump of some music and cars.
