We led the kids over to the food and helped them fill their plates.
Fire and the other helpers of the night helped and told them what else was coming and asked if there was anything they wanted. Most were happy with the selection and just wanted some garlic bread as well when it was ready.
Fire gave me a side hug as I was helping Eth. “You OK?”
“I am now. Thank you for asking gorgeous girl!” She gave me a wide smile as she nodded and went to get the garlic bread.
“Well, I think Reid has more competition now." She winked. I quickly motioned to the kids, hoping she didn't continue with what I knew was on the tip of her tongue. She laughed and changed the subject. "Oh and we have you some jambalaya.” Now that had me cheering and all anxiety leaving my body.
