Rip POV
“She’s got 2 bruised ribs and is damn lucky not to have a cracked jaw.” Trigger gives us the update on Fire in church.
He called us in as soon as they got back with half the f*****g supermarket. I’d just come back from the basement needing to burn off some steam, but nearly needed another shower after watching Anne bend to get the grocery bags.
“Clean up was smooth. Either no one heard or saw or wanted to see or hear anything, so it hadn’t been called in.” Bones informs us before Keys took over and gives us the deets on the three Fire took out.
Three, no surprise by that either. Fire had been taught to fight and shoot since she could walk.
“They’ve been itchin for a reason to come at us. We need to have eyes and ears everywhere. No blind spots and no one rides alone.”
We came up with a couple of plans and also what to do with the bodies to take the heat off us a bit. They wouldn’t have been stupid enough to go after Fire without telling their Pres, so it was just a matter of time.
I stand in the kitchen doorway, enjoying the view and the smell. We didn't talk about Anne in Church, but tabled it for later tonight after everything was sorted.
Finally, I heard the truck horn. Pushing off the kitchen doorway, I walked out back. Trigger told us what Anne’s plan was for food tonight, to make it easier for Fire, our unofficial cook.
She only started making the burgers and fries about six months ago when she got fed up with her job at the bar. The kitchen was all set up and used for big cookouts, but that was it. It was good to give her and it a purpose.
She seemed to enjoy it and the brothers liked having an easy meal if they hadn’t eaten on base or didn’t want take out.
There is a smaller kitchen in the onsite barracks here on the compound. And, of course, all houses have kitchens, so most just do their own thing.
I walked out to see the two steel buffets being unloaded that I sent some prospects to go and get. Found them for sale at a shop not far away and told the prospects to get a lot of extra trays and things as well. I knew they would work better with what Anne was organizing.
Anne… an old woman’s name. Annie... better!
“You got a bain-marie? That’s perfect! Thank you!” Annie, yep definitely Annie, clapped her hands with joy as Fire’s eyes lit up as well. Annie's smile made me almost smile, so I quickly checked on Fire.
I didn't like how tired Fire looked. But there was no way she was leaving this kitchen. It didn't take a genius to see that.
Triggers right, Annie’s been good for Fire, and somehow seems to bring a calming energy with her. Fire has a light in her eyes and an excitement I haven’t seen in her. Good!
“Clean the trays and utensils,” I instructed, and the two prospects nodded quickly.
“Yes! We can put the lasagna’s straight into a tray and then in the fridge. Easy to reheat in the oven tomorrow.” Annie was straight into it with a large smile as everyone nodded and got to work.
I helped carry the things in, and we set it up in the common room near the tables.
The bunnies came over asking lots of questions. I ignored them as always. Sure, they were good for some relief sometimes, but I couldn’t be bothered with the fake conversation.
Fake conversations frustrate me.
The bunnies are Barrack bunnies. Women that jump from room to room in the barracks riding anyone’s c**k until they can finally snag a military man for the benefits. Or until they are found by the MP's and kicked out.
It didn’t take long for the bunnies to realise an MC was opened up for military personnel, and they had another option to snag themselves a husband or a good time.
“Well, what do you think you should do?”
I walked back into the kitchen to watch Annie talking to Scruff. He has a new girlfriend he’s pretty set on, but he leaves shortly for 6 month deployment.
She listens intently and asks questions, letting all his thoughts and frustrations out before she gives him pretty sound advice, actually.
She’s so gentle, respectful and f*****g hot while doing it. You can see all the brothers respecting her already.
There really is a magnetism to her. It’s also bringing out a need to protect… I’m losing my mind.
“OK. How’s that cake batter coming?”
She walks over to Fire, who is fully set up on the table in the corner. She has the mixer in front of her as she slowly adds all the ingredients from what I think is a recipe on her phone.
Annie bends over, giving me a better view of her ass, making my c**k come to life again.
“Rip, office.” Viking hollers from behind me.
I nod and have to adjust myself before I follow him, not missing the smirk on the f*****g prospects faces.
Anne POV
Oh thank f**k!
I don’t think I could handle any more of the hot statue watching.
My body was on f*****g fire, and I was trying not to blush as I did everything I could to concentrate on Scruff and the food and not… him. Or what I would really like him to do to me.
The hot brooding look he was giving out with those crossed muscular arms was more than working… for me.
Down girl!
Well, I should be happy that it has finally been proven that my vjay-jay is still wanting action. I had been attracted to men in the last five years, of course, but I hadn’t wanted to strip one naked and beg him to f**k me before.
I had been perfectly fine with Bob and Bob 2, my vibrators, because I am very, very imaginative with names.
“You’re looking a bit flushed…” Fire sat back and smirked before I heard sniggers from around the room.
“I was next to the stove burners, so of course I am.” I shot back.
Damn! Was I that transparent? Obviously, yes. Not embarrassing at all in a room full of men and women that are old enough to be my kids.
We ended up making a LOT of dishes and I made sure we were careful with the allergy dishes we made as well, just in case. I was told not to worry about vegan. I wanted to argue the point, but it wasn’t my money or my party.
We had little signs made of what the dishes were. One bain-marie was bigger than the other, which worked perfectly so we could keep the gluten and dairy free separate.
We set up a table with the plates first, then a table with breads, rolls and butter at the other end. Then cutlery after that with all the condiments and napkins.
I was surprised by how big the room was when I first walked out.
It was huge with three pool tables down one side, with couches behind them, guessing, so people could sit and watch. Couches and TVs on the other side with tables and chairs behind them and in to the middle. A big bar was at the back with every type of drink you could ever imagine.
There were some doors off to the sides. One said President, but I didn’t get a good look at the rest as I finished setting up.
Fire had gone and sat on one of the couches near the TV after taking some more pain meds. She wanted to help, but I wouldn’t let her. She seriously now looked like she was half asleep on her feet.
With a smirk she said 'fine' and went and got comfortable.
Can you guess who she was sitting next to? Especially with that dumb smirk on her face… yep tall dark and steamy.
The room had more than the ‘about 20’ they had told me, but we had more than enough food. We ended up cooking for about three days with many different soups, meats, stews and pastas. They would just have to make some more meat and vegetables each day.
Fire also made a cake, cupcakes with some strawberry compote and the sauce for the mac and cheese.
After setting it all up, I quickly got her a bowl of pumpkin soup and a bread roll with butter.
“There you go. Pumpkin soup.” I sat it beside her on the small table. “What would you like?” I asked the brooding steamy bit of muscle… oh steamy is right… stop it!
