The day of David and Renee’s wedding had arrived. Lizzie and Landon arrived an hour early since she was not only a member of the wedding party, but also wanted to check on David.
She went to the bridal quarters first, to see and hug Renee, who looked positively radiant in her long flowing wedding gown. Then Lizzie traveled down the foyer and tapped on the door where David and his best man were in holding. David opened the door, saw her, and grinned. “Hey Zim, come on in!”
She entered and her eyebrows raised. She honestly could not recall ever seeing David in formal attire before. He wore it well. “Tank, you look amazing! Nice threads.” His grin turned into a megawatt smile.
“Aw, thanks, Zim. Got to look sharp for Renee.”
“Well, you nailed it, Tank.”
He scooped her into a big bear hug.
