Donny was once again punctual as he arrived to pick her up for their second date. And as before, he escorted her to his car, opened her door, saw her safely inside prior to getting in himself. As he eased away from the curb, he glanced over at her. “You look stunning,” he told her, and meant it.
She favored him with a bright smile. She’d taken extra time, made sure she looked her absolute best, and was pleased he’d noticed.
“I was serious about Italian, by the way,” he added. “There’s a great place on the way to my house, we can get it to go, if you like.”
“That sounds nice,” she said, and squeezed his hand.
