The Raven woke to the sound of his phone chiming. Rubbing his eyes, he moved his arm sideways to his nightstand, scooped up his phone, and pulled up the email notification. “Interesting,” he murmured. He yawned, stretching luxuriously before throwing aside the covers and swinging his bare feet to the floor. The next stop after the bathroom was the coffeepot to pump artificial life into his still half-asleep system.
