Well satisfied with his meal, the Raven paid his bill, tipped generously, and stepped back out on the sidewalk. He strolled leisurely back to his quarters. In his room, he unpacked, then headed for the shower. He’d slept for roughly half the nonstop flight, and he found that as usual, crossing multiple time zones didn’t affect him as deeply as it might other transcontinental travelers. He was wide awake. Once done with his shower, he pulled on sweats and a t-shirt, then padded across to the little desk and started up his laptop. He brought up the notes he’d made so far. “Now,” he said aloud, “let’s tweak this a bit.” His intel indicated his quarry was holed up about ten miles from here.
