CHAPTER FOURTEEN When Landon’s return flight landed at ten p.m., his first and only thought was getting to Lizzie. He dialed her number as he left the airport. “I’m in the car, on my way to you,” he said as soon as she answered. “How’s he doing?” Lizzie sighed. “Nothing’s changed since this morning.” “Hang in there, honey, I’ll be there in about a half hour.
