CHAPTER TWELVE February 2011 arrived in Seattle with its usual mercurial mix of rain, gray fog, and sunshine – sometimes occurring all in the same day. But the daily highs and lows remained level; for the most part, residents enjoyed high temperatures in the mid to upper forties and overnight lows only occasionally reaching the twenties.
