Lizzie stretched, then rose. Time to hit the water. She dove gracefully, barely rippling the surface, then began lazy laps up and down the length of the pool. After four circuits she turned onto her back and floated for a moment, eyes closed, face turned up the sun, blissful and content. Then she began to slowly backstroke her way over to the ladder to go resume her sunbathing. Completely unaware of her surroundings, she was surprised when she reached back for the ladder and her hand closed over human flesh. Startled, she gasped and spun around.
