EPILOGUE Ten months later, Lizzie arrived as scheduled in front of the Earle Cabelle Federal Building in Dallas. Samantha Kennard’s multiple homicide case was set to begin in US District Court at nine a.m. Lizzie originally wasn’t supposed to testify until day four, but the schedule had been rearranged; the prosecutor had opted to come out blazing by presenting key material witnesses first. She passed through the screening point without issue and made her way into the courtroom, taking a seat in the fourth row from the back. Just before the attorneys and defendant appeared, a tall, handsome man in a suit walked in, looking around nervously.
