Lizzie paused, stretched her aching back and took a drink of water. As she sipped, she counted boxes left to go through. “About twenty. Not bad,” she confirmed. Her growling stomach reminded her that lunch was overdue. As she headed into the kitchen to make a sandwich, she noticed movement on the porch. Landon greeted her with a kiss when she opened the front door. “Hi, baby,” she said, surprised but confused. “Thought you were working today.” “Oh, I am,” he told her. “But I wanted to bring you lunch, see how it was going over here.” He held up a distinctive orange and white bag. “Burger okay?” “From Whataburger?
