The Next Morning
Ava knelt down in front of the two headstones, carefully brushing away the fallen leaves that covered their carved named.
"Hi, Mom. Hi, Dad, It's been a while."
She sat back on her heels, looking at the graves. "So much has changed since I left. I wish you could see it all."
Ava let out a small chuckle as all the beautiful memories of Starry Howler filled her mind. "I found a new pack, Starry Howler. They took me in when I had nothing. Showed me what a real family could be like. I've met alot of good people too
Her voice grew stronger as she continued. "And I've found somewhere I truly belong. A place where I can be myself. Where I'm valued and respected. "I think you'd be proud of me. Of who I've become. I'm not that scared, naive girl anymore."
