Ava found herself walking through the once busy streets of Moonwood Pack. She could barely recognize the home where she grew up in. Buildings and shops that had once been the talk of the town were now closed up, their signs fading away. The few wolves out at this early hour moved quickly, heads down, as if afraid to be seen walking outside for too long. The few pack members she saw gave her surprised glances, but the look on their faces was not disgust or hatred, but what seemed to be more of regret.
