“Are you planning on feeding the chickens anytime today?” Jocelyn startled and nearly dropped the bucket of feed in her hands, remembering at the very last second before it slipped free of her fingers and fell to the ground. Her breath was suddenly coming in hard and fast, almost in sync with her thundering heart. She blinked several times and then looked down at the full bucket she was using to fill the chicken feeders.
