Anna's POV: The second the boulder crashed past us, a thick, broken branch impaled his right side like a blade. "Stop shielding me! I can make it on my own—you're hurt!" I pressed down hard on his wound, but blood gushed through my fingers like water. No matter what I did, I couldn't stop it. Acting like he couldn't even feel the pain, he stubbornly hauled me onto his shoulder, dragged the werewolf we'd pulled from the tree with his other hand, and bolted toward the cabin.
