As we finally got to the school gates, we headed immediately to the second-floor council room after chaining up my bike, Sophie being her normal self waltzed right in. While I stood behind her nervously shaking “HEY GUYS! WE’RE HERE AND READY TO WORK!" Sophie yelled as she waltzed in excitedly, dragging me along. Seeing Sophie walk in, everyone automatically started surrounding her happily smiling and laughing “Hey Sophie, great to see you” One said, “you too.” Sophie said, smiling. “Glad you could make it,” another girl said, “glad to be here.” Sophie expressed happily. “Hey Sophie, thanks again for volunteering to help. we really needed it." Riley Johns said, smiling as he walked up. Sophie looked at me and lifted her eyebrows in a playful glare, giving me an evil smile. Turning back to them smiling her evil smile, she laughed. “Yeah, I wouldn't have even thought about it if it wasn’t for Jasmine. Honestly, if she hadn’t suggested it, I wouldn't be here.” Sophie said, pulling me beside her as she smiled. Shocked, they all stopped working, looking in my direction, surprise on all their faces as Sophie just kept on smiling evilly. “She just loves to help people” Sophie continued trying to break the silence. “Wait, you suggested it?" Sarah Bowmen, a tall brunette, asked as she looked down at me with a puzzled look, everyone listening in closely “Yeah she did she loves to help people! I just said that” Sophie said, getting irritated by all the silent stares. “Wait so this little weirdo, Is the one who actually suggested it! So she can talk, " Mikie Sal said harshly. “WHAT THE HECK MIKIE WHAT WAS THAT FOR!" Sophie yelled angrily. “Sorry but it’s true,” he said, raising his hands in defense “SHE'S JUST SHY….” Sophie began yelling. Tapping her shoulder, I waved at her, signing for her to stop “but they don’t...” Sophie started again before being stopped again. “It’s fine. I get this a lot. I'm used to it.” I whispered. The quietness in the air stiffened as they all froze, listening to my voice. “You actually can talk,” Jackson Miller said, surprised. “Yeah of course” I laughed shyly. “We really are sorry we weren't trying to be rude or anything” Sarah apologized. “No it’s ok, I don’t mind,” I said softly, getting flustered from all their attention. Sophie's anger boiled over the breaking point, making her devil eyes land on me, her ignited fire looking down at me before she finally yelled. “IT MATTERS! PEOPLE SHOULDN'T SAY THAT TO YOU! THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU! PEOPLE HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARS AND IT'S STARTING TO TICK ME OFF! THEY SHOULDN'T JUDGE YOU. HASN'T ANYONE HEARD THE SAYING NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER WELL HERE'S THE ROOT OF THE MEANING!” she yelled, scolding me for what seemed like an eternity.
