“Crap I forgot my bag...sorry guys I guess I’ll be seeing y'all later.” Jack Williams said “where you goin’ Jack” Sam Miller asked “I left my bag in the classroom so I need to get it” Jack explained as he started walking in the other direction “oh c’mon Jack just get it Monday” Sam sighed “it has my homework in it” he explained walking backward seeing Sam and the other sighing “look I’ll just talk to y'all tomorrow,” Jack said waving as he turned back around walking down the hall “we can just wait,” Jackson said “Nah it's fine I think the council is still there so I need to be quiet plus y'all said Lillie's sick and your Mom has an early shift today. Get home safe and great club work today” Jack said hurrying down the hall “Sam we do need to get home to Lil” Jackson urged Sam. “Yea I know --Sigh-- fine then we can meet up with ya later Jack” Sam hollered back to Jack down the hall, the three of them splitting ways. Running through the halls Jack suddenly heard someone! A voice! She was singing. Jack slowed down listening to the voice Who’s singing, he thought curiously as he walked slower getting closer to the mesmerizing voice. He turned the corner leading to his classroom. To his surprise the classroom where the mesmerizing voice sang. Jack who was now filled with curiosity decided to stay in the hallway out of sight so he could listen from outside the door. Where he could hear the singing more clearly and as to not scare the person away. Jack sat there listening and the longer he sat there the more he thought the voice was the most beautiful singing voice he had ever heard “♪Are they right, right about...Right about me and you. ♪Are we just history, just more bad news.♪ Or Should I fight, fight for you and who we are. ♪Oh, What should I do? ♪My head says I shouldn't fight.♪ ♪But my heart says otherwise~.♪ ♪what should I do, what should I do0o?♪ But You say I won’t I shouldn’t, I shouldn't fight. ♪But I say I will. ♪How can you tell me what my heart feels...♪” listening to the song continued he smiled “she is really good” he whispered to himself as he tried to follow the song's beat but the way she sang it, it was hard to keep focused on the beat instead of her voice. Temptation pulling at him he finally looked through the glass window on the door. To see a young, blonde-haired, girl who wore a blue dress sitting in the shining light of sunset making her hair look like a golden flame. As she sat one hand was writing while the other tapped to the beat. Even though he could not yet see her face she looked strangely familiar and his curiosity was not extinguished. Jack wanted to listen to her sing so he decided to sit against the door so he could listen to the rest of the song she sang trying to place her voice with a face “♪So I say I won't lose♪ I won't lose to you.♪ But you say I'm too weak I'm incomplete. ♪Because I have no will- of- my- own. ♪You took it away long ago.♪ ♪So now I'm astray from my own path. ♪Now I'm so insecure because of you. ♪What should I do? ♪What should I do, ♪What should I do~oo? ♪So I tell you what!♪ I'm gonna fight, and I'm gonna win. ♪I half to win To end this war inside of me. ♪But You say it's wrong to fight this war just for me it won't end in Vic-tory. ♪I half to fight whether it be for you or me. ♪I know it's right to put up a fight.♪ We need to fight for what we believe.♪ But I'm losing my mind. ♪And You just don't understand I know I can.♪ ♪You say you understand but I can't explain it to you.♪ ♪You won't end in victory. ♪I'm still gonna fight. ♪I say I will, I've gained my own will. ♪So I will fight.♪ ♪I'll fight for me and what's in my heart. ♪This is what I can do.♪ ♪What I can do to keep you.♪ ♪This is what I can do♪.” The room fell quiet and he heard nothing but the kids outside. He just stayed sitting in place not knowing what to do next. Until suddenly he heard soft footsteps coming closer towards the classroom. Frantic he tried to figure out which way the footsteps were coming from looking both left and right but with no luck. Panic began to build up in his chest. He figured he could hide without getting caught but where could he hide the closest place was the classroom. Jack became even more apprehensive as he still sat against the door, not knowing what to do next. When suddenly the classroom door opened making him fall hitting his head on the floor. Rubbing his now aching head he hurriedly stood up quickly seeing her blushed face close. Recognizing her immediately his shock covered his face. He knew her but only by glimpses in school and the name everyone called her ‘the girl with the Secret Voice’. Mainly because no one had ever heard her talk except for the kids who knew her in pre-school but even then she did not talk much. Jack stood there staring just as she did. Suddenly out of nowhere we heard some voices, their shoes clicking on the floor as they walked closer towards the classroom. I rushed to escape out the door but Jack immediately jumped further through the door bumping into me making both of us fall back onto the floor. Along with making all my papers sling out of my hands flying into the air. Not noticing Jack hurriedly closed the door behind him keeping his focus on the door. While I was stuck on the ground pinned beneath him. Nervously I quietly tried to squirm free but with no success and with him having yet to notice the awkward situation became worse my face steadily changed color. Finally, the footsteps had passed and he calmed as he realized that the coast was clear. Taking a breath his attention finally fell onto me. As he looked down at me our eyes met “I heard you singing from down the hall! You were really good” he complimented out of nowhere. My face turned a brighter shade of red lighting up like a firefly. My arms being pinned underneath him I couldn’t hide my face so instead of hiding I looked away. “I’m being honest you have one of the most beautiful voices I have heard” he complimented again but surprisingly this time my face lightened from his sincere words with our eyes meeting again. Momentarily I looked at him looking at his sincere and crystal blue eyes before looking away. Confused by my reaction he finally noticed he was on top of me this time his face turning bright red. Immediately he jumped back towards the door turning his back towards me to keep his face averted from mine. Both of us finally separated but at the cost of our faces red as tomatoes, both of us not being able to say anything for a few moments equally embarrassed. Clearing his throat Jack stuttered “s...sorry about that I...I did not want to fall on top of you...I just didn’t need anyone else knowing I was still here or they would not leave me alone so I jumped into the classroom in a hurry sorry about that,” he apologized. I sat there on the floor opposite of him, keeping quiet while awkwardly messing with my bracelet not knowing what to say or if I could even look at him. Finally, he turned back around to face me “Well I'm Jack Williams,” he said strongly extending his hand “I'm… I'm Jasmine Knight” I said shyly turning towards him and shaking his hand softly. --Ba Bump-- Quickly letting go of his hand I stood up quickly “well...um It...It has been a pleasure to meet you but I must go --Ba Bump-- s..so...goodbye” I said stuttering nervously avoiding eye contact, quickly walking out “wait your papers, you...” Jack said as he picked up a paper “...left them” he finished not seeing me anywhere in sight. Brushing his hand through his hair he chuckled with Interest “well she was interesting” he said to himself, smirking.
