And so, the eagerly awaited anniversary slipped away, leaving only memories in its wake. The excitement and anticipation that had built up over the months dissipated, replaced by the bittersweet realization that another year must pass before its return. The fleeting nature of time was laid bare, a reminder that nothing lasts forever.
The best friends dragged their tired body to bed immediately after the banquet ended. The couple, who had been brooding on how to inform Anny on the proposal, also went to bed.
Ring!Ring!! Ring!!!,the dazzling light, radiating from the window side, penetrated into Aila's eyes and she yawned as she checked her phone to see who was calling her. She picked up her phone and immediately her heart skipped a beat, she glanced at Anny and when she was sure that Anny was not awake, she tiptoed to the bathroom and answered the call in hushed tone and suppressed annoyance saying,”I thought I said you shouldn't call me anyhow”. After waiting to hear what the person at the other end was saying, she replied”I will meet you at the usual spot, don't call my number again”. She turned on the water faucet, splashed her face with water and then she dabbed her face with a towel.
Aila opened the bathroom door, and her heart skipped a beat as she saw Anny standing there, rubbing her face sleepily. Aila was taken aback, unsure of what to say or do. Anny, seemingly oblivious to Aila's distress, yawned and asked, "Why are you just standing there in a daze? I need to use the restroom."
As Anny lazily made her way into the bathroom, Aila breathed a sigh of relief. She waited anxiously for Anny to emerge, then quickly excused herself, saying, "I have an urgent matter to attend to at my father's house." Anny nodded understandingly and told Aila to hurry home.
Anny took her bath and wore a casual cloth, she then went downstairs to greet her parents whom she met in the dining room. Her mouth watered and her stomach grumbled when she saw the delicacies on the dining table. She quickly joined her parents and of course, she didn't forget to praise her mom as the “best cook in the universe”. The mother and daughter duo chatted while eating their food, Anwyll continued to butt in on their conversation while also reminding them to learn some eating cultures. The family finished eating their food and Anny cleared the table. Myla had always loved cooking by herself so she had been accustomed to it even though there were maids. Anwyll asked the mother and daughter duo to meet him in the living room because they had important issues to discuss.
