When Aila unlocked her phone and saw 17 missed calls from Anny,she shook her head wondering about maintaining her facade. She thought of what of what to do. Then,an idea struck her…………..

When Anny got home,she met Anwyll and Myla playing Lovey-dovey. She chuckled and said inwardly,”My parent don't want to want to grow up”. She headed to her room and collapsed on the bed. She yawned and said aloud,”I am feeling sleepy”. She drifted off to sleep immediately without removing her clothes. A knock on her door woke her up and she said “come in” drowsily. Aila entered in looking disheveled and as though she was chased in.

Anny asked her immediately,”Where have you been”

“I told you this morning when I was going home” Aila replied.

“Don't you dare lie to me Aila,I went to your house and you weren't home,I asked your stepmother and she told me you haven't been home since yesterday,Where have you been Aila?“ Anny's voice rose.

“I can't say” Aila shrank as if she was afraid that Anny would hit her.

“Aila,you should know that I don't tolerate lies,but if you don't want to say,leave it at that”Anny snapped.

Aila pinched her thigh immediately and started crying “I met a guy on my way home two weeks ago and he collected my number. But since then,he had been telling me to meet up with him which I had been rejecting…………. Not until yesterday,when he threatened me that he would go to my dad's house to ask of me,that was what made me compromise,I didn't tell you because I didn't want to bother you,I am sorry hunny”.

“We are friends, aren't we?,why would it bother me if you told me about that?what if the guy had ulterior motives? Don't do that again” Anny scolded Aila.

Downstairs,Anwyll and Myla heard their voices and Myla wanted to go upstairs to ask them what the matter was.

But Anwyll pulled her back to sit down “Don't interfere in their matter,they are grown up already………And do you want to leave me here” Anwyll said while pecking Myla's left cheek. Myla blushed and said “Shameless”

Anny sat on the cushion chair in her room playing Ludo game on her phone while ignoring Aila.

“Babe pls I won't do that again……… uhnnn”Aila pleaded. Anny ignored her once again but Aila strolled to where Anny was sitting and started tickling her. Amidst laughter,Anny surrendered and said,”Okay I have forgiven you but promise me you won't do that again”

“I won't,I promise”

“Pinky swear” and they made the gesture with their last finger. Anny hit Aila's head with pillow and Aila whined,”Why did you do that?“

“I am still angry, dummy” Aila started chasing Anny and because she couldn't catch Anny,she collapsed on the floor, breathing heavily. Anny thought it was serious and wanted to check on her but Aila caught her immediately.

“That's cheating,you know”

“Nah, it's not,I just used tactics”

The ringing of Aila's phone disrupted their peaceful banter and as she picked up the call,she mouthed “it's that guy” to Anny. Anny gestured to Aila that she should give her (Anny) the phone.

“Hello,I am Anny Hansley,you should have guessed who I am,right?,so don't ever call this number again because the day you do so,I will make sure to chase you down to hell”. Without waiting for the other party to reply,she cut the call and Aila hugged her saying,”That's my baby”. They resumed their banter and their relationship eased back.
