Celeste's POV
Vaelina pulled me into a hug before I could say a word, careful enough not to disturb the makeup, and when she stepped back her eyes were bright and her hands were still on my arms.
"You look like someone who was always supposed to be a Luna," she said. "I mean that completely."
I squeezed her hands. "Thank you for coming. Genuinely."
"I would not have missed this even if you never invited me." She glanced around the room with that particular look of hers when she was cataloguing everything to discuss later. "This house, by the way. We are having a full separate conversation about this house."
"Later," I said. "Right now we need to go."
The convoy left in two cars. Mason took the wheel of the first with me in the passenger seat and Vaelina in the back. Jason led the second car with a formation of pack warriors flanking both vehicles on either side.
I watched them in the side mirror as we pulled through the estate gates and felt something settle deep in my chest at the sight of all of it moving together.
This was real. All of it. Real and moving and mine in a way I was still learning how to hold.
Vaelina leaned forward from the back seat after about five minutes of watching them. "Are those all warriors?"
"Yes," Mason said.
"For a ceremony?"
"For our Luna," he said simply, and Vaelina sat back without another word, which for Vaelina was genuinely impressive.
The event hall was a twenty minute drive from the estate. When we pulled up and I stepped out of the car and looked at it properly, I stopped moving for a full second.
It was everything Darius promised and more. The entrance was framed in deep florals in the exact palette I chose, warm and rich and nothing like anything I would have imagined for myself a year ago. Inside, the space opened up into something that made my breath catch.
Tall floral arrangements at every column, warm lighting that turned everything gold, fabric draped across the ceiling in long elegant lines that moved when anyone walked beneath them. Everything deliberate. Every single detail considered.
"Darius delivered," Vaelina said beside me, her voice doing that thing where all the sarcasm completely dropped out and only genuine feeling was left.
"He really did," I said quietly.
Mason placed his hand at the small of my back and we walked in together.
The eyes found me the moment I crossed the threshold. Not all at once, but one by one, rippling through the room the way awareness does in a pack space. I felt it in my wolf first, that particular alertness that came with being seen by many at the same time.
I kept my chin up and kept walking forward through all of it.
The Luna seating area was elevated slightly, a wide platform at the front of the hall dressed in champagne and deep burgundy fabric that caught the light from above.
The moment we reached it people began to approach, moving toward us in small clusters with the measured ease of people who knew how to present themselves. Noble families. Pack elders. Men and women who carried the particular gravity of people important for a long time and fully aware of it.
One after another they inclined their heads, greeted me warmly, introduced themselves with the kind of careful formality that told me exactly what this moment meant to the pack and to them personally.
I smiled at each of them and meant every one.
Mason stepped forward with a quiet authority that parted the crowd without any effort at all. "We will speak with everyone properly after the announcement is made. For now, please take your places."
Jason appeared at my other side. "It is time," he said.
The hall settled into a silence that felt ancient somehow, the way it did when something important was about to be said in a space that understood importance.
Mason stepped to the center of the platform and when he spoke his voice carried through the hall without effort.
"Ulfsang Pack was built on peace, on love, and on the understanding that strength means nothing without the people you choose to protect."
He let that land for a moment, and the hall stayed quiet for him. "Today we stand before our pack to introduce the woman who completes that foundation. Celeste Reed of Ashen Hollow Pack. Our fated mate. Your Fourfold Luna."
The crowd erupted.
Not polite applause. Something fuller than that, louder, moving through the room like a current. Voices and feet and the particular energy of a pack recognizing something in its bones as right.
I stood through it with my hands relaxed at my sides and felt it land in my chest, warm and solid and nothing like what I expected when I walked through that door this morning.
Jason stepped forward and the hall quieted around him the way it always did when an alpha wanted it to.
"Celeste Reed is your Luna," he said, and his voice carried a weight that asked for no negotiation. "You will treat her with the same honor and respect you show your Alphas.
Anyone who attempts to disrespect or harm her in any way will answer to us directly." He held the silence for exactly one beat. "There will be no exceptions to this."
A man stepped forward from the front row of the crowd. Broad, composed, with the bearing of someone who carried long loyalty without effort. He looked at Jason and then at Mason.
"No one would dare cross her," he said. "Not while any of us stand.""
Mason smiled. Jason smiled beside him.
"Roland," Mason said, the word carrying the warmth of genuine regard.
Roland pressed a fist to his chest and bowed his head. "I live to serve her." He said it simply and without ceremony, the way people say things they mean without needing to frame them.
Then he turned to me and stepped forward and extended his hand, steady and certain, and waited. "Roland." His voice was even and direct. "Gamma and warrior of Ulfsang Pack. Your will is my command, Luna."
