“I can’t believe you would lose control like that, Maximus.” A female voice echoed through the small clinic, scolding my mate.
“I know, I’m sorry mother. Please don’t let him know.” Maximus’s voice sounded hollow and quiet. My heart ached for him, to touch him, to see him. I opened my eyes to see him looking away from me, towards a woman at the other end of the bed.
My vision was blurred at first, but as my eyes refocused I could make her out. She had long stunning brown hair, just like Maximus with deep brown eyes. Her skin was as pale as the moonlight and the gown she wore looked like something the goddess herself would wear. It was an extremely light blue. It almost looked see through as it curved to her body, while other parts seemed to ripple in long stands like a calm tide.
