VII. The Meeting
Inara glanced up at the giant marble statue of an archer that stood guard in front of the even grander cement tower. The company name “VIDE Inc.” reigned overhead of the statue in a prevailing dominance. The reflection of the steel letters atop the main building in the city emanated an intense brilliance unparalleled to any in Chun or Orion’s Eye. Below VIDE was a smaller inscription, “Virtual Intelligence Defense Engineering,” that held a similar shine to its parent sign.
There was no wonder of the immensity VIDE corporation possessed on Orion’s Eye since the company’s skyscraper eclipsed every structure in sight. The archer statue made entirely of black marble served to visitors as the most notable symbol for the company as it reigned over the streets and bridges alike
