XXIII. Silent March A red light overhead flashed green as Andres advanced through the light rail’s security gate. Andres, Inara, and Osmond paced through the rails’ doorway and passed all the passengers until they arrived at the back of the cart. Hanging from the ceiling, separating every five rows were small dimly lit signs that read “LIMAR VALLEY” in a dull green light. Once the air brakes squealed, all the passengers comfortably leaned back in their seats and faced forward with their hands on their knees. The train’s force barreled each person deeper into their cotton comforters without fair warning.
