CASSANDRA'S POV~ The cars slid to a halt in perfect formation, like you know those… synchronized sharks circling their prey. The dark Bentley I was in purred low, before coming to a smooth stop in front of a gate so large, I was pretty sure it had its own zip code. It parted slowly—like something out of a spy movie—and the convoy glided through, tires kissing the pavement of the massive driveway leading to a compound so huge I forgot how to breathe for a full second. As we entered, I blinked hard. Holy mother of marble. This wasn't a house. It was a kingdom. An empire. An entire freaking continent, built on acres of manicured lawn that stretched like an emerald sea.
