During that time, I had to take a lot of medication. I was very unhappy. The doctor told me this would calm me down, that would relieve my insomnia, and some could help reduce hallucinations and mania... My parents became cautious around me. They stopped mentioning that incident, but whenever I thought about how my father was forced into early retirement because of me, and my mother was subjected to so much gossip that she left her favorite group dance team, I felt like someone was choking me and I couldn't calm down. But strangely, whenever Arthur came, my mood became extremely stable. He seemed to know that listening to the sound of stones being tapped calmed me down when I was anxious. He also knew that using visual aids with hand gestures helped me fall asleep when I had insomnia.
