They didn't have to walk to get to his mother's house. Luc simply took Macey's hand and a second later, they were standing in front of something that looked like a brightly lit cave entrance. She didn't even know why she was surprised. Of course, they didn't have normal houses in the daimon world. That would have been far too normal.
"Pretty crystals," she remarked as he led her into the cave.
"Diamonds, actually." He chuckled when she gaped at the thousands of crystals covering the cave wall.
"Does everyone here live in diamond caves?" she asked, unable to pull her gaze from the twinkling gems.
"Everyone decides where and how they want to live," Luc replied. "Some live on trees, some inside of them. Some have houses like humans, others live on a meadow without any furnit
