Chapter Three Macey immediately knew that she was dreaming, but she also knew that she wasn't going to wake up any time soon. She didn't mind, she liked this kind of semi-conscious state that allowed her to recover physically while also giving her time to think. She sat down on a stony beach that had suddenly appeared all around her. It looked like the shore of the sea, not her loch. The water smelled salty and the scent of old kelp reached her nose. She breathed it in greedily. For some reason, she was feeling parched, and even though this was salt and not fresh water, she was glad to be close to it.
