Chapter Nine They followed one of the kelpie scouts in silence. Macey wished they could use the Staran to travel to the sea kelpies, but without the scout, she'd likely never find them. Loch kelpies were secretly following the sea kelpies, tracking their progress. They would still need several hours to reach the Loch, but it would be quicker for Macey and her people to meet them. They knew secret paths and shortcuts that the sea kelpies hopefully didn't. After an hour of traipsing through moors and heather landscapes, they finally stopped when the scout held up a hand. He pointed at a group of lone, wind-torn trees in the distance. "That's where they are. They seem to be taking a break. I don't advise walking straight into their camp. Write a message and I shall sneak in and deliver it.
