Chapter 6 - The train to Tarragona
Ophelia felt disoriented when Emilie roused her from her short sleep.
‘Mm?’ she grunted.
‘You have little time before the train departs,’ said Emilie.
‘Where’s Nina?’ Ophelia asked.
‘In the lounge room drinking coffee with Philippe,’ Emilie replied. ‘Here is a cup for you.’
Ophelia gulped the hot black liquid.
‘Oh, God, that’s good,’ she said.
Emilie sat on the bed and stared into Ophelia’s eyes.
‘You are safe to travel through the southern region, now, Ophelia,’ she said. ‘Philippe has created some identity documents that record you as a French citizen.’
Ophelia gasped a sigh of relief.
