Two hours later,
"Go home and shower. You need to go home dear. I will take care of things here." My mom said.
"No, mom. I can't leave you here all by yourself. What about father?" I asked worriedly.
"Don't worry dear. I will take care of him." She said urging me to go home.
When I was about to protest, she held my shoulders and pulled me into a tight embrace.
"Listen to me, please. You need to get a good sleep and eat. Please." She said almost tearing up again. But she didn't cry. She knew if she did, I wouldn't listen to her at all. She pulled away and told Mr Alex to drive me home. He followed behind but not in the same car.
