Chapter 10Miguel sat in the middle of the sofa in front of the window, and to his left, Juanito sat on the single couch. I chose the other single couch to Miguel’s right and across from Juanito, the centered coffee table separating us. Oddly enough, that was where Juanito and I had sat earlier today. Miguel chugged his drink, and I had a feeling he wanted more. I glanced at Juanito, who kept his eyes on Miguel with a smile of deep interest that couldn’t fool me.
