Miguel gave me a deep and hurt stare, his own eyes flooding. “That’s really beautiful of you to say. And I want to trust you, Alex, I do. But…gosh, I don’t know.”
“You can! My feelings for you are real! I’m not confused and I’m not saying any of this to win you back. I really do want to be with you as your boyfriend in a long-term relationship. Miguel, you’re so perfect that I’d f*****g marry you and have kids with you and live a super happy life with you one day in the future. Because you’re nothing like any guy I’ve ever met. That’s what attracted me to you the most.”
Miguel didn’t say a word, but his eyes watered even more until his first tear shed.
“You know what?” I grabbed my phone and woke it up. “Don’t go, please, just let me do something I should’ve done right after I met you.”
