Chapter 3 Lou drifted over a beach bounded by rock jetties. Below him, George walked out of a turquoise sea, hair plastered flat, laughing and calling to Lou. The voice whispered, Time to come home. Lou jerked awake and sat up. “What?” George’s eyes were heavy. His erection had subsided. “A dream?” “Yeah. It was weird. I saw a beach. You were there.” George smiled. “Must be a good sign if I’m in your dreams. Did you hear the voice?” Lou rolled off the bed and retrieved his shirt from the floor. “I never got you that drink.” “It’s okay.” “I’m going to have one.” Lou shrugged into his shirt. George said, “Got any beer?” “Be right back.” Lou returned with two bottles of Guinness stout. “This work?” George took the bottle. “Sure.” He took a long swallow and set the bottle on the bed
