ANDREA'S POV
I paced around my sitting room, waiting for my assistant, Harry.
Lola has been kidnapped right before my very eyes. They took her before I could get anywhere close to her.
It was all my fault. I just needed to make her realise that we had to get ready for the wedding tomorrow, dignitaries from all parts of the world are going to be there, and there was no room for mistakes. Things escalated quite fast, and before I knew it, she was running out of the house without warning.
I didn't mean to be a jerk or scare her away.
"Sir.." Someone called out, and I turned to see my PA Harry.
"What's the update? Has Lola been found?" I asked impatiently. I had placed a call to him and asked for all security personnel to be dispatched immediately to search for her.
"The men are on it, Sir. All nooks and crannies of the city are currently being surveyed for any trace of her." Harry said, but I wasn't having any of that.
It was getting late and the wedding was supposed to be held early tomorrow morning.
"I need results.. results Harry!" I shouted, hitting my hands hard on the table.
"Well.. the car from the CCTV camera was found." He said, and I felt a glimmer of hope.
"Okay, did you find anything?" I asked hurriedly.
"No sir, we didn't. The car was totally empty and had already been scrapped out." He said, and I clutched my head with my both hands in frustration.
It was clear that whoever did this was wealthy and influential. I couldn't deny that Lola's kidnap was carefully planned out and had been done very neatly.
The question is, who exactly are they after? I or Lola?
I hadn't introduced Lola to anyone. Everyone knows I'm getting married tomorrow, but they have no idea who I'm getting married to.
So who did this, and what do they want?
I was still lost in thoughts when a call came into my phone, and I picked it up to see that it was my dad calling.
I excused Harry and moved aside to pick up the call. I needed to explain things to him... just maybe he would understand.
"Andrea, my boy, I can't believe my son would be officially married by this time tomorrow." My Dad said happily, and I couldn't help but sigh.
"Dad, there's a problem." I said, and there was a brief silence at the other end of the line.
"Problem? What is it that you can't handle? It's unlike you to tell me your problems." My Dad said.
"Lola is missing, Dad. She was kidnapped this morning." I said, and there was absolute silence on the other end.
"Say something, Dad.. I've searched everywhere for her." I said sternly, only to get a chuckle from my Dad.
Why was he laughing?
What was so funny?
I just couldn't understand why he would laugh at something so serious.
"Andrea.. It crossed my mind that this your fiancee talk was all a guise to bypass the marriage plans I made for you."
"But I had a rethink when I saw Lola and I felt .. for a moment, that all this was real, and you both were in love."
"If this is one of your tricks to bypass this when the whole world is watching and waiting, then you have failed woefully."
"You are getting married tomorrow, either to your supposed fiancee or to Anna Richards. I'm going to place a call to her dad now since you are trying to deceive and disgrace us before the world." He yelled angrily, and I tried to explain myself.
"No, Dad, I'm serious. She was kidnapped right in front of my house today.. you can make your enquiries." I pleaded, but all I got was a flat response.
"I won't waste my precious time on nothing. You know what you are up to. You are getting married tomorrow, with or without Lola." He said with a strict warning in his tone as he cut off the call.
No! This wasn't happening!
Why couldn't he believe me?
The fact that I had used so many tricks in the past to escape his arranged marriage plans for me doesn't mean it's the same right now.

Hours Later.
My men searched for Lola for long, painful hours with no results.
We finally managed to get a tip about her location, and we hurriedly drove there.
"Lola!" I screamed as my men broke down the entrance of the warehouse. It was completely dark.
The sound of my voice echoed right back at me. We put on the touches we came with, but there was no one. It was totally empty.
I stepped on something and pointed a torch towards it. It was a shiny piece of jewellery. I picked it up, and my eyes went wide in shock. It was a piece of the earrings Lola had on this morning. I had seen it on her when I was warning her this morning.
This meant only one thing; they had been here!
We were at a deadend, and there was barely anywhere left to search.
Was this how I was going to get married to Anna Richards?
What do I tell Lola's parents?
