"She's here!" The voice screeched, spreading across the living room as footsteps traipsed down. Just hearing her voice, I knew she was pleased to meet me. It somewhat made me feel at ease in this new place. "Alina!" She shrieked as she ran to me.
I gasped in her strong grip around my body. I hugged her back. She was taller by two inches, and I heard she was just a year older than me. I really wished we could get along well.
"Hi," was my timid response. I looked at Aunt Marieta and she had this affectionate smile on her face. It was like telling me that things would be okay.
