Selene's POV (present day) Silvia led me through a narrow path in the cave house that opened into a large hall where other women were busy with their daily tasks, keeping this small pack running like a well-oiled machine. I couldn’t miss the cautious looks thrown my way, eyes scanning me up and down, sizing me up like I was some kind of threat or curiosity. It made my stomach twist, but I kept my head up, trying not to let it get to me.
