The day had passed by in a blur. I spent most of my time on my laptop and only went downstairs when Lisa announced that dinner was ready.
Not wanting to sleep on an empty stomach again, I rushed down but still sat by the dining table alone. Lisa said James had eaten already but I felt like he was avoiding me.
