I turned my attention back to Gabriel and took calming breaths to tame the fear that I was feeling but no matter how many I took, it still lingered like shadows in a deep dark void. "What did he ever do to you that wanted revenge?" I asked, keeping his attention to me. Gabriel scoffed and tightened his grip on me. My tone held fear but like any normal person, I wasn't.
