Silence fell after his acknowledgment, and King Zed stayed muted, thinking about the past. He thought of how a terrible person he was and receiving what you could call -salvation. He breathed out,
“I'm glad I met you and didn't harm you but kept you close by."
Serena smiled and properly rested her head on his lap.
"It's okay, don't think of yourself as a terrible person. You are no longer that Zed that kills out of anger. You don't do that anymore. You are a good man now." Serena suggested.
King Zed's stiffened body loosened up at her words.
"A good man?" He chuckled. "I'm not. I don't think I'll ever be, but I'll try my best to be the best for you." King Zed said, staring down into her eyes.
